Race reports, race organizer reports and now settling in to enjoy....

Wow.

Where does a month+ go. I'm most of the way thru the cross season, racing is going okay, I pulled off what I think was a great race with the help of friends( 2009 Coastal Cross ) and now I'm going to enjoy the rest of the season. I'm looking forward to Portland then Xmas, taking 1/2 of December off from training then getting back on the horse in January. 2010 is looking good from here.

Rad Racing GP

Better race. Finished 25 out of 50+. The course had the most brutal 80 meter run-up.

USGP of Cyclocross Stanley Portland Cup

This is going to be fun

Star Crossed

After a nice drive down the night before I had big hopes for this race. Problem is this race had plans for me. I had a great start position in the 1st row but watched the majority of the field pass me into the first turn. So the rest of the race was chasing people down and trying to pass them. That was going well but then one of the officials pulled me as I was about to get lapped. I wasn't too happy about that but what do you do.

Out of 55 racers I think I placed 41st.

Aldor Acres

So the cross season has started and my least favorite race is done and I didn't do poorly. The run-up on this course killed me last year. This year I passed people. I'm happy. I think I honestly placed ahead of 5 or 6 people. No mechanicals I just beat them.

Summer Satisfactions

September. The end of a great summer where I achieved more than I'd ever thought I would. I road raced(not well but I did it), got closer to my goal weight for the year and started putting out some solid power numbers(300 watt FTP).

Now the true fun begins....CYCLOCROSS SEASON STARTS ON SUNDAY.

Thank God....It's over!

I love Le Tour.
But I love it less with this guy.
There's something wrong when the most beautiful and greatest sports events in the world becomes 'merican'. TV networks and their commentators become asskissing homers. Cycling forums become battlegrounds. It's the Hatfields vs. the McCoys, a new civil war with the new king being usurped by the old king who realized he can't live without glory.
I don't watch soap opera's.
I'm going to ride my bike.
